Details:   Shot by the IRA as he arrived at the Department of Environment Vehicle Testing Centre where he worked. He had just left his car when he was shot by a motorcycle pillion passenger. His wife and four year old daughter who were in his car witnessed his death. The IRA subsequently repeated a warning that those leaving the UDR should make their position known to the IRA through an intermediary such as a priest. Left the Regiment in 1976 - 29th ex UDR soldier to be killed. |
