Details:   Shot by INLA as he and his colleague, Constable Ronnie Irwin, stood at security gates in the town. Forty five shots were fired in the attack. Snowden had been awarded the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award at Buckingham Palace a few months before he was killed. (RUCR when killed). Left the Regiment in 1975 - 34th ex UDR soldier to be killed. |
