Details: One of two soldiers killed while they checked a booby-trapped car outside Enniskillen. The 150 lb IRA bomb exploded killing them instantly and injuring thirteen 97th Battery Royal Artillery soldiers who were passing in a four ton truck. Lance Corporal Alfie Johnston also died. 21st UDR soldier to be killed. |
