Details:   Stabbed to death by the IRA near his home. His throat had been cut twice. He had been staying with neighbours to avoid attack but was killed when he went home to feed his dog. The terrorists left a booby trap device to kill members of the Security Forces arriving at the scene. Fortunately it was detonated by livestock. His cousin and two neighbours serving in the Regiment were also killed by the IRA. 54th UDR soldier to be killed. |
