Details:   One of ten workmen machine-gunned by a group calling itself the Republican Action Force, thought to have been the IRA. The men, on their way home from a textile factory, were stopped by twelve armed men who boarded the bus and asked each man his religion. The one Roman Catholic workman was told to 'clear off' and the other nine were lined up outside the bus and shot. One man survived. Left the Regiment in 1974 - 7th ex UDR soldier to be killed. |
