Details:   Shot by the IRA as he and a reserve constable were closing a traffic barrier. He died instantly during a spray of more than 30 bullets from an automatic weapon. A keen sportsman he was described as 'an up and coming athlete'. Norman was to be married a few weeks later. (RUC when killed). Left the Regiment in 1976 - 9th ex UDR member to be killed. |
