Details:   Shot when the car his father was driving was ambushed by the IRA. His father who was also part time was injured. A week earlier it was claimed that the IRA had called off their campaign against off-duty soldiers. Robin's brother who was also in the car, and a part time soldier in the Regiment, returned fire. The gunmen escaped over the border by boat. 26th UDR soldier to be killed. |
