Details:   He and his two friends were shot dead by the IRA as they returned from a Canine Association show in Cork. In total 60 bullet holes were found in the car. Sgt Doyle's wife was expecting their first child at the time of the shooting. Alfie's brother in law, an RUC Constable was also shot dead by the IRA. 47th UDR soldier to be killed. |
