Details:   Shot after gunmen lured him and his brother in law from his sister's house on the pretence that cattle had broken loose. He had only been with the UDR for one week after having served nine years with the Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards. His brother in law, Stanley Arthurs died of his injuries a few days later. 59th UDR soldier to be killed. |
