Details:   Shot dead by the IRA as he worked behind a supermarket counter. He was hit three times in the back. He had survived an attempt on his life the year before when gunmen opened fire on his car at point blank range. He and his wife were prosecution witnesses after an Official IRA raid on their home some years before. His son in law was killed by the IRA in 1984. 61st UDR member to be killed and 5th officer. |
