Details:   Shot by the IRA on 28 October outside his home in Londonderry. He was walking home from his job in the Housing Executive when he was hit 12 times. He was one of the first soldiers to join the UDR and had previously served with the Royal Navy in WWII. 63rd UDR member and 6th officer to be killed. |
