Details:   Shot dead by the IRA as he arrived at the hardware shop he managed. The two masked gunmen ordered his cousin, a 13 year old schoolgirl to get out of the car before they fired. Three gunmen had taken over a nearby house holding the family hostage overnight until Jim arrived at work. He joined the Regiment on its formation. 161st UDR soldier to be killed. |
