Details: Shot outside his home by the IRA at Boveedy, Kilrea as he stood by his car. His eight year old son stopped a passing car for help, but his father was dead on arrival at hospital. His wife was pregnant at the time of the incident. He was the third soldier from the Battalion to be murdered in one week. 65th UDR soldier to be killed. |
