Details: Shot by the IRA as he arrived home with his wife after visiting relatives. The gunman opened fire as he got out of the car to open the garage door. Winston had fourteen years former service with the RAF. His brother Ronnie, an ex UDR soldier was shot dead by the IRA in 1991. (RUCR when killed). Left the Regiment in 1984 - 47th ex UDR soldier to be killed. |
