Details: Shot by the IRA as he drove to meet his girlfriend. His car was rammed by the gunman's vehicle and the shooting happened in front of people leaving evening mass. The gunman then hijacked a car pushing the driver and her disabled son out of it. Left the Regiment in 1980 - 51st ex UDR soldier to be killed. |
