Details:   Ambushed and shot by the IRA. Three gunmen fired 20 rounds as he left his home on 15 Jan and he died of his injuries the following day. A moment before the attack he had checked his car and placed his bullet-proof vest and revolver on the seat beside him. He was found by his father and driven to hospital in Belfast by a doctor who was passing by. 169th UDR soldier to be killed. |
