Details:   Killed when an IRA bomb exploded under his car as he was about to leave an auction of agricultural machinery. He had previously been commended for bravery. A week after his death his widow received hate mail sent from Dublin and signed 'IRA'. Other UDR widows in Co Fermanagh received similar letters. His daughter served in the same Battalion. 173rd UDR soldier to be killed. |
