Details: Shot by the IRA as he collected dustbins. Two gunmen fired and continued to fire as he lay on the ground. He had been given irregular shifts at his own request as a security measure and only knew that morning that he would be working in that area. Edward had joined the Regiment just eight weeks earlier. 174th UDR soldier to be killed. |
