Details:   Shot by the IRA when he was on Christmas leave from Cyprus as he watched television with his wife. Two gunmen knocked at the door and asked for Stephen's sister, they pushed past Mrs Waller as she opened the door and fired 13 rounds into Stephen who died in hospital a few hours later. Mrs Waller recognised one of the gunmen. They had been married for just eight months. 3rd R IRISH soldier to be killed. |
