Details:   One of two men killed near a border farmhouse at Lisdoo, Clady when IRA gunmen opened fire at close range. The second man, ex Pte Daniel McCormick, had recently resigned from the Regiment. Sergeant Smyth had survived a previous attempt to kill him. 5th UDR soldier to be killed. |
