Expansion of the UDR & R IRISH Aftercare Service.

 For many years it has been the goal of the Aftercare Service to expand and provide welfare support services to all British Armed Forces veterans within Northern Ireland. We are pleased to announce that from April 2023 this will become a reality.

 From April 2023, the UDR & R IRISH Aftercare Service and the services provided by it will move to a newly formed Veterans Welfare Service Northern Ireland (VWS NI), part of the MOD’s Veterans Welfare Service (VWS). This service expansion will make welfare and support services available to all British Armed Forces veterans in Northern Ireland. 

 All veterans and their dependants should follow the current referral processes to contact VWS NI, using existing contact details. Further updates on the service expansion will be shared in due course.
