Am I eligible to use the UDR respite apartments in Portrush?

If you served in the UDR you can apply for a respite apartment. The apartments are allocated on the basis of welfare need at the beginning of each year. The apartments are available to the following:

• Former members of the UDR, full time or part time regardless of length of service.
• Members of the Widows, Bereaved Parents and Disabled Ex-Soldiers who make up the Regimental Families group.
• The widow/widower of a UDR soldier.
• Children of UDR soldiers killed as a result of terrorist action.

Applications are prioritised by welfare need and allocated at an annual session in February each year.
